Lainie Rowell presented to a standing room only group on effective use of the iOS platform in the classroom. iOS is Apple's new branding of the operating software for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. She focused on the iPhone, but showed how the only difference between an iPhone and an iPod Touch is the camera and microphone.

ReplyDeleteI had no clue about shake to undo typing. That is life altering!
This was a great session! I liked learning that if you press and hold the .com key you get more choices... .org, .edu, .net
ReplyDeleteHere's the handout from the session I didn't get to attend, on the iPad:

My mantra to students had always been, "When you right click you get options, when you left click you select." You can imagine my dismay as I learned more about the Mac seven years ago and discovered that there was no right click...or so I thought. There was the Control+Click to get a right click. More dismay at iOS with no right click, but it was there all along!!
